I have been working for the Zátiší Group since 1997. Before that I worked for different restaurants and also in catering. Thanks to that I gained experience, learned a lot of new things and met people that later became my close friends. What I like the best about my job are the changes at Mlýnec, which make us move forward constantly
Láďa Vaníček

Láďa Vaníček has been part of Mlýnec since 2014. He started in the cold kitchen, worked through every part of the operation and today leads the team as head chef. His cooking is built on honest craft, respect for ingredients and attention to detail. He enjoys new combinations, first-class ingredients and bringing out their full flavour, with zero waste and local producers as a natural part of his approach.

Guest Relations Manager
I love working with people. When I got the opportunity to work as a Guest Relations Manager for the Mlýnec restaurant I did not hesitate at all. Apart from daily routines at the reception I am also responsible for event organisation in our restaurant. What really makes me happy is when I see cheerful faces of our guests during events in our restaurant. I definitely think that people should eat more good and healthy food as it reflects their good mood and state.

As soon as I finished school in 1998 I had an interview with Mr.Sanjiv Suri. He impressed me so much that I have been working for him ever since. My job at the Mlýnec restaurant is to look after our guests and make sure they leave it really happy. I love meeting people from all the world and getting to know different cultures.
Zdeněk Etzl

Gastronomy has been part of my life since I lived in Ireland. During my five years there, I gained my first experience in the industry, including working in the kitchen of a Michelin-starred restaurant. After returning to the Czech Republic, I worked behind the bar, in cafés, at Kolkovna, on a boat on the Vltava River, and even in a restaurant railway carriage. Every place was different, and it was this variety of experiences that eventually brought me to Mlýnec. What I enjoy here is the combination of great service, a strong team, and an environment that gives every evening its own unique atmosphere.

I have been working in gastronomy for 12 years, and this is my second year at Mlýnec, where I have spent the past year as Assistant Manager. What I enjoy most is seeing the whole team work as one to create an exceptional experience for our guests. It was also at Mlýnec that I developed a real passion for wine, and I love recommending wines that perfectly complement each dish. My goal is for every guest to truly enjoy their evening and leave Mlýnec with a memory they will be happy to return to.

My journey in gastronomy began 13 years ago and has taken me through various roles and cities across Poland. For the past two years, I have been part of the team at Mlýnec restaurant in Prague, where I was drawn by the opportunity to grow, collaborate, and work with people who are truly passionate about gastronomy. What I enjoy most is meeting guests from all over the world and, together with our team, guiding them through an exceptional culinary experience. I believe gastronomy is above all about what we can give to our guests and what we can, in turn, learn and take away from them.
